A Little About Carl
As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Carl provides tax, accounting, and business consultation services for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. During his time at large national firms, he gained experience serving all size clients from large national corporations to small businesses to individuals. His passion is to serve individuals and small businesses as their trusted advisor. Carl’s goal for all of his clients is to use his talents in tax and business services to give them peace of mind about their taxes and business accounting, allowing them to focus on using their various talents and not worry about taxes.
After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Tax Accounting from the University of Alabama, Carl and his family moved to West Georgia where he began his career with Ernst & Young in Atlanta. He went on to work for another of the Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte. He spent five years at the Big Four firms before joining Ronald Blue & Co. LLC, where he worked as a Tax Manager for almost nine years when he decided to start his own practice in Villa Rica in 2014.
Active in the professional community, Carl is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA.) He has served as President of the West Georgia chapter of the GSCPA since 2015 and was selected to join the AICPA CPA Ambassador Program in 2016.
Carl is also active in the Villa Rica community, where he currently serves as Treasurer on the Villa Rica Main Street Advisory Board and as a Director on the Villa Rica Downtown Development Authority. Carl and his wife, Kelly, have two boys. As a member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, Carl serves as a Deacon, teaches adult Sunday school and helps with Upward sports. For fun, Carl loves participating in, watching, and coaching sports, especially baseball and football (both American football and soccer.) Carl and Kelly also love cheering on all things related to the Crimson Tide.
